Two seriously hurt in violent assault

TWO men were the victims of a violent attack in a common close in Neil Street, Greenock, in the early hours of this morning.
The 46-year-old and the 41-year-old are being treated for serious injuries in Inverclyde Royal Hospital following the assault at 4am.
Detectives are carrying out door- to-door enquiries and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
