ENGINEERS are currently working to repair problems to the water network that is affecting people in Gourock and parts of Greenock.

Scottish Water is currently repairing a valve at Drumshantie Road at Tower Drive customers.

Some customers have been experiencing loss of water supply, low pressure, and/or discoloured water.

The company says it has a squad on site to carry out the necessary repair to this main.

Scottish Water has warned customers that when supplies are fully restored they may experience some discolouration to their supply - this discolouration is harmless and will gradually disappear as the system returns to normal.

Bottled water will be delivered at the following locations: Larkfield Road, Hilltop Crescent, Jacobs Drive, Tower Drive, Mcpherson Drive, Grenville Drive, Skye Crescent, Vinnie Terrace and Caledonia Terrace.

A spokesman for Scottish Water told the Tele: "Scottish Water engineers are working to repair a fault in our network affecting high lying properties in the Gourock area and some parts of Greenock. Alternative supplies are being arranged and distribution locations will shortly be available on our website -www.scottishwater.co.uk. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused."
