Tele editor Anne Caine said: "We are delighted to be involved in recognising the talented men, women and children across Inverclyde who have excelled in their varied fields of sport in the past 12 months.
"These incredibly talented people have not only done themselves proud but also the whole of Inverclyde when they represent the area so well at competitions locally, nationally and internationally.
"I know how tough it has been for the judging panel to narrow it down to the top three in each category and it will be equally tough selecting an overall winner such is the ferocity of this year's competition."
A limited number of tickets for the awards bash are still available from the Tele office priced £30.
