Woman due in court on assault rap

A 24-year-old woman is expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court today after an alleged assault in the town centre this morning.

The alleged offence happened in the early hours of today in Dalrymple Street.

Meanwhile, a 32-year-old woman is also expected to appear at the sheriff court today in connection with road traffic offences.

It is alleged the woman drove a vehicle without the owner's permission, that she drove dangerously and was under the influence of drugs.

The alleged offences happened in Newton Street, Greenock, on Saturday evening.
