CHILDREN at a Greenock nursery enjoyed a visit from friendly firefighters.
Firefighters dropped in to the Enchanted Forest Nursery to meet the youngsters.
Nursery manager Margaret Mack said: "Jennifer our team leader of 3-5 room had arranged for them to come down as we have a little boy who is petrified of fire alarms and won't go to sleep because he thinks there is going to be a fire.
"The baby department also got in on the action and ventured out to meet the firemen and see the engine.
"The firemen were wonderful and have agreed to do a home safety visit at his house.
"Each child was issued with a goody bag which also contained information on arranging a fire safety home visit.
"The children had a great time getting to use the fire hose, wear the firemen's helmets and also set off the sounders.
"The staff and children would like to say a very big thank you to the local fire stations for accommodating us with our request."
