A GREENOCK-based counselling service has hit the lottery jackpot.
MindMosaic - which offers free counselling and psychotherapy services - has been awarded 130,000 from the Big Lottery Fund over the next two years.
Sandra Boyle, a director and play therapist from MindMosaic, said the money will help change people's lives.
She told the Tele: "There are limited services available in the Inverclyde area that provide early intervention support to children and young people who are experiencing a variety of difficulties.
"If counselling and therapy can be provided at an early stage in the child's life, it may prevent them from becoming the adult clients of the future." MindMosaic is a social enterprise based in Hood Street and is the first organisation of its kind in the town.
It offers help to people of all ages who may be suffering from depression, anxiety, bereavement, abuse and other difficult issues.
The lottery funding will be used to provide play therapy sessions and counselling for children and young people.
This month the organisation is also inviting people to apply for an accredited certificate in counselling course, which starts in August.
As well as this, they will offer a series of short courses on play therapy, counselling techniques and motivational interviewing.
