TOE-tapping teenagers took a step in the right direction after taking part in a pioneering project.
About 18 youngsters from Graffiti Dance Troupe in Greenock completed a dance leadership course which will enable them to teach and pass on their skills.
Lucy Broadfoot, course tutor for the programme — which takes place at Dazzles Dance Studio — was very impressed with their hard work and enthusiasm.
She believes they all have the potential to be excellent dance teachers.
Lucy said: “They have been amazing and they have shown so much potential.
“During the course they learned lots of things, including creative skills and about how to teach a warm-up and dance routines.
“They also had to complete a lot of written work.” The initiative, which is funded by Key Fitness, also saw the talented team perform a showcase of the dances they devised.
Meanwhile, teenagers who have completed the dance leadership 2 programme recently received a recognition award for their efforts.
