CARING youngsters at Inverclyde’s Wellington Children’s Centre have handed over a £100 cheque to Ardgowan Hospice following a recent successful fundraising effort.

The children had £100 left over after paying for a series of trips as part of their summer holiday club — and they decided it should go to the local charity.

Pictured handing over the cheque to hospice representatives Gabby Cluness and Bridget Maunders are Wellington kids Freya and Erin Binning and Drew Maunders.

The children — who are now looking forward to a programme of sunshine days out to the likes of Largs and the transport museum in Glasgow — raised the money at a tombola stall at the Gourock Garden Party.

Gabby Cluness of the hospice said: “This very thoughtful donation is most gratefully received.”
