THE Greenock and District Bowling Association held their annual game for the hospice trophy.

This involves nearly every bowling club in the Inverclyde area putting forward a team, which should have won one of their own club wappenschaews, along with a team from the Greenock Ardgowan Hospice workers to play an annual wappenschaew for the silverware. Ardgowan Bowling Club kindly host this game on or about the third Thursday in July each year and for this Greenock and District are very grateful.

A collection is taken from each club and is donated to Ardgowan Hospice later in the year.

This year the winners of this trophy were a rink from Grosvenor BC, consisting of Billy Ritchie, Billy McNeice, Alan Butler and Fran Wilson.

Runners up were a team from Port Glasgow BC.

A very good evening of bowling was enjoyed by all. Pictured are the winning rink with the trophy and Robert Harron, president of Greenock and District BA.
