THE final touches are being put to the Greenock Telegraph’s showpiece gala night – and you and nine friends could be joining us to meet the stars.

Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowall will be performing while comedian Tam Cowan will provide the laughs on the night and chair our charity auction.

Port Glasgow girl, Tele columnist and TV presenter Jean Johansson will bring some glamour to proceedings as she hosts our second spectacular – with every penny raised going to Ardgowan Hospice.

Tables are selling fast for the event, but we are giving away a table of 10 to one lucky reader.

You and your friends will enjoy a champagne reception, followed by a delicious three course meal with wine on the table.

Celebrity No1 magazine will also be on hand to give the event national publicity.

Jai, Tam and Jean will provide the entertainment before you dance the night away with our disco through until 1am.

Telegraph editor Brian Hossack said: “The Greenock Telegraph has always been at the heart of Inverclyde and the gala is all about putting something back into the area.

“That is why we want to offer a table for 10 to our loyal readers so they can come along and join this showpiece event.

“The hospice is a cause that is close to everyone’s hearts and hopefully we will raise a lot of money on the night for them. The gala is completely non-profit, every single penny of profit raised through ticket sales and on the night goes the Ardgowan.

“Last year’s gala was a sell-out success and we are almost sold out again this year, with just a few tables left as we countdown to the big night.” To win a table of 10, simple answer the following question: Name the pop svengali who is head judge on Britain’s Got Talent?

Send your entries to Greenock Telegraph Gala Competition, 2 Crawfurd Street, Greenock, PA15 1LH. Entries must reach us by 4 August. Usual terms and conditions apply, editor’s decision is final.
