FREE computing training and financial advice is now available for people living throughout Inverclyde.

The Future Skills project offers one-to-one computer training within people’s home or at a local venue.

Financial advice is also available to prepare people for the introduction of universal credit – the next phase of welfare reform that will see benefits paid monthly instead of fortnightly.

The project is being run by Inverclyde Housing Association Forum (IHAF), in partnership with Inverclyde Council and Grand Central Savings.

Speaking on behalf of IHAF, Julie Allison, of River Clyde Homes, said: “Now is the time to prepare and be ready for the challenges of universal credit.

“Future Skills can help you to prioritise and manage your finances by assisting you to prepare a household budget, tailored to your individual circumstance, and advise you on how to make your money go further.” For more information, or to make an appointment, phone 0800 013 2196, which is free from a landline.

Alternatively, call 01475 788887, which is low cost from a mobile.
