A SCHOOLGIRL is in hospital today after being hit by a car in Greenock.
The 10-year-old was knocked down in the town's Drumfrochar Road at around 11am this morning.
It is understood that she was walking close to the Broomhill Bar when a car collided with her.
Police Scotland say the girl is in a 'stable condition' at Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
The extent of any injuries she may have sustained has not been released.
A police spokesman: "Enquiries are continuing into this incident."
