TWO terrific Greenock fundraisers were all bark and no bite as they donned dog costumes to help raise more than £200 for a worthy cause.
Friends Philomena Donnachie and Ronnie Cowan turned lots of heads recently when they dressed up as canines and set up their kennel outside Greenock’s Pets at Home store.
But the stunt was all in aid of charity and the pair managed to collect £222 for the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
Store manager Gal Seery also showed her wild side and earned her stripes by donning a zebra costume.
They are pictured with Pets at Home worker Eva Logan, who helped look after the animals on the day.
Philomena said: “We were delighted with how much was raised.
“The collection went really well and everybody was really nice. We got a lot of laughs and a lot of people really liked the costumes. It was good fun.
“It was good that the two of us did it on a Saturday because it was busy and staff were busy too making sure we were okay and giving us cups of tea.”
