Their bodies were discovered on Friday morning at a property in Teviot Road.

Police investigating the deaths of the women, aged 34 and 35, are today preparing a report for the procurator fiscal.

However, it is understood that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the grim find.

Police believe the deaths could be drugs related.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The bodies of two females were found at a flat in Teviot Road at around 9.05am last Friday morning.

“There are no suspicious circumstances.

“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal, as is usual practice in cases of sudden death.

“Enquiries are now continuing to establish the cause of death.”
