STUDENTS toasted three years of achievement at a bash at The Albany.

Enterprise Childcare organised a celebration lunch for around 50 people who took part in the Positive Futures Project.

Participants have attended courses, joined groups and gained qualifications as well as making friendships along the way.

Jeanette Knox, training manager said: “This occasion is about celebrating the successes of the participants who came to our courses.

“To see the changes in people who have attended is rewarding and satisfying.

“Although this is the end of this particular funding we just recently were awarded funding for the next three years to continue the good work we do.” The project was funded by the Big Lottery and managed by Enterprise Childcare.

Students Gill McLean, Shelly McIroy, Calie Dennett and Maria Reay also shared their stories about their journey with the Positive Futures programme.

The women said the course had help to boost their confidence and gave them new skills. Gill is about to start a university course and Maria has signed up for a college plumbing course.

Mike Condron, chair of Enterprise Childcare, also presented Speakeasy certificates to parents relating to relationship advice.
