EMERGENCY services have cut the roof off a car following a serious smash on a busy Greenock road.
Three vehicles were involved in a collision on Regent Street, just outside the Salvation Army halls, shortly after 6.30pm.
Several police cars, three fire engines plus the Scottish Fire and Rescue major incidents unit all rushed to the scene.
Eyewitnesses at the scene told the Tele they saw a man being stretchered away into an ambulance and taken to hospital.
The road remains closed between Trafalgar Street and Mearns Street with traffic being diverted along Roxburgh Street.
