THE body of a woman has been recovered from a block of flats in Greenock following a sudden death.
The grim discovery was made at a property on Mearns Street near to the junction with Armadale Place yesterday.
Two police cars and a van attended the scene, pictured, at around 2.30pm.
Police confirmed there was a sudden death and said the body was that of a woman in her 50s, but no other details of the deceased were given.
There are said to be no suspicious circumstances.
