KINDHEARTED bank staff are supporting a project helping children grieving for loved ones.
The TSB’s Greenock and Port Glasgow branches have raised £1,000 so far for the Ardgowan Hospice run Butterfly Project.
Following a visit to the hospice they were inspired to organise a number of fundraisers.
Recently they handed over a selection of toys, including an arts and crafts table, that were all on a wish list put together by counsellors.
Manager Steven Polland said: “All our teams have really got involved in helping make a difference in our own community. We couldn’t think of anything more worthwhile than to help children at a terrible time in their lives.
“The Butterfly project do some wonderful work and we wanted to help them.” At the Greenock branch the teams handed over the toys and a £400 donation.
The Butterfly Project is a Big Lottery funded initiative at the hospice to help children cope with the death of people close to them.
