MOORFOOT Primary pupils have now joined the ranks of local Dementia Friends.
Alzheimer Scotland’s Inverclyde branch advisor Tracy Gilmour visited the Gourock school to help train them up.
The Dementia Friends initiative aims to get as many people as possible involved in the programme.
Youngsters who took part in the day had the chance to learn more about dementia and how to recognise the illness in others.
Local advisor Tracy said: “One of the most important things is people start opening up and talking about dementia.
“Lots of the youngsters started speaking about members of their own family.
“It was a great day.”
