A PENSIONER is in hospital with 'severe leg injuries' after being hit by a car in Gourock.
It is understood that the vehicle was reversing out of a driveway in Cloch Road when the elderly pensioner, 77, was struck.
She sustained a leg injury in the accident, which happened at 4.10pm this afternoon.
Police, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene.
The woman is now being treated at Inverclyde Royal Hospital, where her condition is described as serious but stable.
