A DRIVER is to be reported to the procurator fiscal after an accident in Gourock's Cloch Road.
Police say a 77-year-old was 'trapped' underneath a vehicle, with firefighters removing her from from beneath the car before she was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.
The injured woman sustained a 'severe' leg injury and remains at Inverclyde Royal, where her condition is described as serious but stable.
A spokesman for Greenock police told the Telegraph: "The driver will be reported for an alleged road traffic offence."
