A MAN has appeared at the sheriff court accused of attacking another man with a sword.
Lee Blair, 35, was in the dock yesterday charged with striking a man on the body with the weapon to his injury in Bouverie Street, Port Glasgow, on 24 May.
Blair, also of Bouverie Street, is also charged with possession of a dagger and a sword, as well as committing a breach of the peace by shouting, swearing and threatening people with violence.
During his brief appearance in private before Sheriff Vincent Canavan, Blair, represented by defence solicitor Aidan Gallagher, made no plea or declaration and the case against him was continued for further examination. He was remanded in custody.
