A DETERMINED Port man is going the extra mile in memory of his beloved dad.
Joseph Quinn from Rona Avenue will lace up his trainers for The Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run 10k in Glasgow on Sunday.
The 22-year-old is raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of his dad Edward, who sadly died from heart failure 10 years ago.
He told the Tele: “I’ve been without my dad for 10 years now.
“He was only 36 when he passed away.
“I want to raise as much money as I can for the British Heart Foundation and I also want to raise awareness of heart disease.”
Anyone who would like to donate to Joseph’s fundraising appeal can do so online at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Joseph-Quinn-EdwardQuinn.
