LITTLE stars from Newark Primary shone brightly during the school’s eagerly awaited nativity show.
Primary 1 and 2 pupils threw themselves into their version of the traditional Christmas story.
Mary and Joseph were joined by three wise men bearing gifts, a super shiny star, some camels, sparkly angels and of course the Baby Jesus.
Youngsters resplendent in their wonderful costumes thrilled the packed audience with their lovely performances while mums, dads and grandparents thoroughly enjoyed seeing the wee ones on stage.
The school had been busy rehearsing for the show and all the hard work paid off.
It was the perfect way to sign off for the end of term and the children and staff are now enjoying their two week long break.
Teachers were swift to praise the children’s efforts and everyone who helped to make the shows such a success.
Head teacher Douglas Creighton said: “Well done to all our P1 and P2 children who performed so confidently at our nativity.”
