PUPILS at a Port Glasgow school have been silenced — all in the name of charity.
S1 social subjects students at St Stephen’s have smashed their fundraising for the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF) after keeping quiet during period one on Monday.
History teacher Simon Graham said: “All pupils did very well in their sponsored silence for SCIAF.
“We now have a final total of £539, which is made up of a combination of cash and online donations. Our target was £100 so we are all delighted and very proud of the efforts of S1.”
Donations are still being accepted online at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/SSHSSOCIALSUBJECTS
