PORT Glasgow primary pupils ‘grappled’ with a local wrestling star after winning a competition to meet him.
Newark Primary youngsters got to grips with Greenock star Lucha DS, who took part in the recent Premier British Wrestling Breaking Limits show in the town.
Lucha was invited to the school as part of their ‘world of work’ week to talk about his energetic job in the ring.
He was asked to the school by his brother, Danny, a classroom assistant, who then organised a contest to design a Lucha DS mask.
Danny accompanied the three winners to the show, and they are pictured with Lucha, from left - Sam Casement (Primary 5B), Kieran Elvin (Primary 4/5) and Paige McLean (Primary 5A).
Sam said: “We had a fantastic time. We loved seeing Lucha beat Jack Jester in his own town!”
