A 22-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed in a garden in Port Glasgow on Friday afternoon.
He was attacked by another man and suffered injuries to his stomach in Pladda Avenue at around 12.40pm.
The victim fled from the scene but was later tracked down by the ambulance and taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses.
Detective Constable Stuart Young said: “We are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time and happened to see anything.”
The victim remains in hospital for treatment.
