A PORT Glasgow teenager has appeared in court charged with murdering a man in Renfrew.
The 16-year-old made no plea or declaration during a brief appearance at Paisley Sheriff Court, right, represented by defence agent John McElroy.
It’s alleged he assaulted Nachhatar Singh Bola, 36, in Renfrew’s Thomson Street, near its junction with Porterfield Road, on 2 July, repeatedly kicking and stamping on his head and body whereby he was so severely injured that, as a consequence, he died at Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital five weeks later.
Another 16-year-old, from Renfrew, appeared on the same charge and also made no plea or declaration.
Sheriff Colin Pettigrew continued the case against them for further examination.
