KNOCK OUT: Left to right, Gerry Deeney, coach Joe McCallum, Stuart McMillan and head coach Mick Marner.
FIGHTERS from a local boxing club were left knocked out by a generous donation of equipment from an MSP.
The SNP's Stuart McMillan gifted a punch bag to Larkfield Boxing Club so it can be used by the young prospects who train there.
Mr McMillan said: "It gave me great pleasure to hand over the punch bag to Larkfield Boxing Club.
"Unfortunately, it was gathering dust in my garage so I'm pleased it's going to a new home and will be well used. I would like to wish all the athletes the very best with their future training."
Gerry Deeney, honorary president of the club, was delighted by the kind gesture.
He added: "The club is a credit to Adam Robertson, who founded it, and it is being well run now by Mick Marner and his team.
"I am sure they will continue to go from strength to strength."
