DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses today following two deliberately set fires in Port Glasgow last night.
A car parked in the town’s Cuillins Avenue was torched at 11.25pm.
The blaze came after a storage building in the Wellpark area was set alight at around 9pm.
Detective Constable Mairi Milne, of Greenock CID, said: “There is no obvious link between the two fires at the moment. No-one was injured in either incident.
“We want anyone who was in the areas around the time of the fires and who may have seen something to contact us immediately.” If you can help the police, call the CID on 492658 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
