ENERGETIC tots have given a new Port playpark the thumbs up.
The wee ones enjoyed trying out the refurbished Birkmyre Park when it officially opened on Wednesday.
Councillor Michael McCormick says the park breathes fresh life into the area.
He said: “This new park will be a great asset for the community, allowing kids to enjoy the play area while the grown-ups take in the views of the Clyde.
“The former site had been unused for too long, and I am delighted we have been able to give it a new lease of life.” The site, which was once a bowling green, also has a seating area where the river views can be enjoyed.
