A MOTHER and daughter could be heading for modelling stardom.
Debbie Kelton and her daughter, Emma, will appear on GMTV"s Lorraine Kelly Today show next week in the final of a contest to find Britain"s top mum and daughter models.
Emma, 28, is a complementary health therapist at Healthy Outlook of Greenock, providing massage, reflexology and aromatherapy. She also works as a therapist at Greenock Medical Aid Society"s Bagatelle and Glenpark homes.
She said: 'The show asked for pictures of mums and daughters and received 1,200 from all over the country.
'We were chosen as one of 36 couples to be taken to London to be interviewed "live" on TV by judges.
'We were also asked to walk up and down to see if we would make good models.
'It wasn"t too nerve racking.
'Getting interviewed by the judges on live TV was bit like watching the singers getting grilled on X-Factor, but it was a great experience. We were asked questions such as what were our aspirations for modelling.
'We"ve made the final six and we"re appearing again on Tuesday morning to see if we can win.
'It"s all been absolutely fantastic and we"re really looking forward to Tuesday.'
The winners will receive an introduction to a top modelling agency and a year of free haircuts from one of Britain"s best salons.
Emma added: 'It was great meeting Lorraine Kelly. She really put us at our ease.'
Emma lives in Fairlie and Debbie, 45, stays in Largs.
