Golf youngsters join elite

GOUROCK Golf Club has seen four of their most promising young players selected for advanced tuition with the Renfrewshire Golf Union.

Graham Minton and Daragh Cuddihy both recently passed trials at Mearnskirk golfing range under the watchful eye of PGA coach Mark Loftus.

They will now join David Slack and Alistair Taylor, who have been part of the Renfrewshire set-up for a number of seasons.

Every junior member at Gourock Golf Club is invited to free coaching sessions with club PGA professional Derek Watters.

In addition, top club players Chris Mooney and Stephen Higgins will be spending additional time with all junior boys in an effort to sharpen up their game.

Junior girl members will be looked after by lady vice captain Margie Carmichael.
