Charitable donation to Ardgowan Hospice

IN 1982, Ardgowan Hospice was the charity of choice for Inverclyde's 25 social clubs.

In November of that year, the clubs presented the hospice with £900 - cash left over after the group entertained 3,000 senior citizens over two nights.

The giant cheque was accepted by hospice representative Tom Wilson, right.
