TOTS at a Greenock nursery became Olympic champions for the day when a special guest visited their centre.

Inverclyde's sporting heroine Margaret McEleny gave a talk to youngsters at Hillend Children's Centre about the games and her own experiences at the paralymics.

Thrilled youngsters also got the chance to wear some of Margaret's many medals.

Margaret told the Telegraph: "It's fantastic the children are starting learning about the Olympics at an early age."

Tracey O'Donnell, early years education and childcare officer, said: "The children are enjoying learning about the Olympics and we have been practising lots of sports with them.

"We are delighted that Margaret has come along to the nursery to show them her medals."
