INVERCLYDE’S ‘cheeky monkey’s’ went bananas at a breast cancer charity walk.
As reported in Saturday’s Tele, Irene and Graham McIntosh took part in this year’s MoonWalk Scotland event in Edinburgh.
The fun-loving couple from Inverkip completed the safari-themed 26.2 mile trek in just over eight hours.
Irene said: “It was a great night.
“It was the first night in a few years that it has stayed completely dry.
“This year we were invited as guests of the MoonWalk so we were treated very nicely and were invited to the guest tent before it started.”
The power walking pair, who live in Swift Avenue, have helped to raise nearly £10,000 over the last 10 years.
This year they have collected about £1,200.
Irene added: “We’re so pleased and want to thank everyone who has donated.”
Anyone who would like to donate can do so online at https://moonwalkscotland2017.everydayhero.com/uk/Monkeys and those who would like to take part in next year’s event can sign up at www.walkthewalk.org
