Girl, 17, found dead in house

A TEENAGE girl was found dead in a house yesterday.

An ambulance was called after the alarm was raised at a property in Inverkip.

Paramedics raced to the house at Bridgend in the village, andthe body of the 17-year-old was discovered at 2.30pm.

Police were alerted and also attended at the address.

A police spokeswoman said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious. A full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."

A post mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of the girl's death.
