POPULAR children’s author and former TV presenter Nicola Davies enthralled youngsters at Wemyss Bay Primary school when she popped in for a special visit.
Youngsters were left in awe of the author and zoologist, who made her name on children’s TV programme The Really Wild Show, as she spoke about her enthusiasm for nature and curiosity about animals from around the world.
Annabelle Giambattista, P5 teacher, told the Tele it was marvellous to see the children so inspired.
She said: “The children loved it as Nicola spoke to them about different animals and their habits and also discussed her books.
“She also talked to them about her previous job working in a zoo and what it was like working as a TV presenter.” The visit was organised by the Scottish Book Trust.
