IT was a true honour to host The Diana Awards at The Emirates Arena in Glasgow on Monday.

The annual ceremony presents awards in Princess Diana’s name to young role models who are selflessly transforming the lives of others.

I met lots of Scottish youngsters who have been going above and beyond to make positive change.

From anti-bullying groups to visiting old folk’s homes, I was blown away by the amazing work being done by school children across the country.

The special VIP guest was Katherine Grainger CBE, Britain’s most decorated female Olympian. It was so lovely to meet her and hear her inspiring speech.

The five-time gold medal rower was funny and had lots of time for all the awards winners.

I must admit, I was pretty excited to meet her too, pictured.

Mystery Map

I was back on the road for The One Show last week, inset, in search of a mysterious map that was found up a chimney in Aberdeen.

The map turned out to be a rare 17th century piece that was handed in to the National Library of Scotland.

It was amazing to see it up close and hear how it had been painstakingly restored after spending decades stuffed up someone’s lum!

We didn’t get to the bottom of how the map, which originated from Holland, ended up in Aberdeen, but it made for a great wee story.

I loved finding out about the history of map-making and how the world was looked at back in the olden days.

GLOW

Did you manage to catch any of Glasgow reality show Glow? I did and I really enjoyed it.

It followed the lives of a group of lively locals as they partied, argued and fell in and out of love.

The six-part online show was well received and the cast has been enjoying a new found fame and lots of opportunities.

Season two is casting now, and producers are looking to add to the current line up.
