Street talk...What do you think?
DISHONESTY is on the rise according to a new survey. We asked people in Greenock about the results of the study, and what they would do if they saw money on the street - hand it in or keep it?
JOHN McLennan, 50, of Greenock, said: "I would hand it in if it was a lot of money or a bag or something. But for the sake of a fiver I think most people would just pocket it!"
CHRISTOPHER Duffy, 18, of Gourock, said: "I would hand money back but things are so desperate now with money that if people see a £20 note they would probably keep it."
ALISON Wallace, 48, of Gourock, said: "If I saw the person who dropped it I would shout on them but if not I would keep it. People should know right and wrong."
RONAN Wallace, 13, of Gourock, said: "I'd hand the money back if I knew who it belonged to. Definitely if it was a purse or wallet you'd have to hand it back."
SUSAN Edge, 39, of Kilmacolm, said: "I've handed money in a few times that I've found. But I do think people are becoming more dishonest."

Report commentI think we're in a pretty sorry state when an 18-year-old (an "adult", mind) regards £20 as "loose change".
