THE referendum is over — at last! — so let’s relax with a bit of escapism.

And what better way to do so than with the memorable music of the James Bond films and many iconic TV series?

It’s your’s to enjoy at a show in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall with the London Concert Orchestra.

‘Bond and Beyond’ promises to celebrate the world’s most famous secret agent with music and songs that will take you back in time to ‘From Russia with Love’ and bring you right up to date with ‘Skyfall’.

Everyone probably has their own favourite Bond theme or song — mine is Shirley Bassey’s ‘Diamonds Are Forever — etched on their mind.

The Bond producers, unlike many others, have always been very conscious of the importance of theme songs and movie music in helping to create and sustain an atmosphere.

And the concert has interesting links between Bond films and the featured TV shows.

‘The Saint’, of course, was Roger Moore, who took over the Bond role in ‘Live and Let Die’.

The original ‘Hawaii Five-0’ starred Jack Lord, who was first to play FBI agent Felix Leiter in Bond’s debut movie ‘Dr No’.

And ‘Avengers’ star Patrick Macnee teamed up with Moore in ‘A View to a Kill’.

Other TV tunes coming up in November are from ‘The Sweeney’, ‘Bergerac’ and one of the best cop series ever made, ‘Hill Street Blues’.

You’ll be shaken AND stirred by this golden collection!
