Beauty Awards I had a blast at The Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards last week.

The glamorous night celebrated the crème de la crème of the country’s beauty industry, from best nail technician, and top salon to spray tanner of the year!

It was a fabulous event. I sat at the Fake Bake table, who sponsored the evening and kept the champagne flowing. Entertainment was provided by Scottish boy band Rewind and Butlers In The Buff acted as ushers!

I caught up with singing sensation Barbara far right, who told me she’s originally from Branchton in Greenock. We are more than happy to claim you Babs!

Cinderella Panto time is upon us and I can’t wait to see Cinderella at The Beacon Arts Centre.

Paul James Corrigan from River City is sure to have us in fits of giggles as Buttons and Still Game favourite Jane McCarry, also known as wee Isa, joins him.

The supporting cast will feature the best of Inverclyde’s dancing and singing talent, so go along and join in the fun. It’s on from 12 December to 3 January.

Festive Inverclyde I’m off to Greeenock’s Clyde Square tonight for the Christmas lights switch-on.

There is lots going on, including a performance from local musicians, stars from The Beacon panto Cinderella and an appearance from Santa’s reindeer.

My four-year-old Junior will be so excited. We just love this time of year. Hope to see you there from 6pm.

Best Barbers!

Many of you parents out there will know that taking wee ones for haircuts can be a traumatic experience. Not any more!

I am so happy I discovered Harbour Barbers in Cathcart Street.

The children’s wee play area is a great idea, the prices are great and you get a lollipop at the end.

Thank you for making Junior look smart for his school photo!
