Never mind Fifty Shades of Grey, I managed to catch Fifty Shades of Funny in Greenock.

I am so glad I chose to see the much-hyped blockbuster at the Waterfront cinema in Greenock as I had one the best cinema going experiences ever!

The crowd was mostly women, who were out for an eyeful.

The enthusiastic audience whooped and cheered at all the ‘love’ scenes. They howled with laughter at the cringey moments and spontaneously shouted out whenever they got over excited.

The film is woeful in my opinion, but the ladies of Inverclyde made the night worthwhile. As the credits were rolling at the end of the movie one lady announced, “Right! I’m headed to B&Q!!!” I Heart radio I was doing some filming at Heart FM last week and I have to say I really enjoyed being in a radio booth and having a go at the DJ desk.

My friend Adele hosts the station’s breakfast show with Robin Galloway.

The programme is packed with laughs and is full of good energy to start the day. Although most of my work is in TV, I love the technical side of doing a radio show and playing great music. It’s definitely something I’ll be pursuing this year, so watch this space!

iYouth Zone There is good news for young people of Port Glasgow as the new iYouth Zone opens its doors on 23 March.

The facility offers activities and is a place to socialise with friends supported by youth workers. Sounds good to me. At that age it’s so important to know you have somewhere safe to go, where you can get involved in projects or just hang out. The Greenock centre has been well-used and appreciated by young people across Inverclyde, so I’m sure the Dubbs Road site will also be a huge success.

Good Samaritan Thank you to whoever handed in my lost i-Pod at my Gourock gym.

I have all my favourite tracks on there (Kylie and Madonna), and I just couldn’t do a workout without my fave tunes. I must have left it at one of the machines and was delighted that someone handed it in a few days later. Cheers!
