IS something going to be done about the disgraceful lack of large buses at certain times of the day in this area?
At night it is impossible to get a bus, so mums or dads with unfoldable prams or wheelchair users are prisoners in their home.
I must assume it is cheaper to run a small bus as there are ample large buses at times. The council hands out contracts so they must have some control over this.
During the past week I"ve had to suffer the long walk from Port Glasgow to Upper Port three times. Last Friday, I waited at Kilblain Street for an hour for a large bus and eventually ended up getting the Glasgow bus to Port Glasgow, then walked up to Upper Port with my son.
This plays havoc with people"s social lives.
I"m sure other readers have their own stories.
What are our politicians, and the bus companies, going to do about this?
