RECENTLY parents and future parents of Gourock Primary were assured the intake this year would be capped at 25 and no additional placing requests granted.

However, I understand this decision was overturned at a recently-convened meeting and the intake this year will be 35, thus granting a further 10 placing requests.

I can only assume the authorities have done a U-turn as the result of the number of protests they have received from the parents refused placing requests and do not cherish facing up to the appeals that may result from this action.

What about the children already crammed into the poorly-designed school?

Come on parents of Gourock Primary, stand up and be counted. Let your voices be heard. Silence means acceptance.
