SHEILAH Watson sent the accompanying photograph which was taken on the top of Greenock's Navy Buildings in 1969.

She worked in the medical stores and can be seen in the bottom left of the picture.

Sheilah, 70, was born in Greenock and lived here until 1975.

She attended Lady Alice Primary and Finnart secondary schools before training at Lillian's hairdresser in Cathcart Street and then Holms in West Blackhall Street.

After her first marriage ended, Sheilah worked at Navy Buildings, sending out medical supplies to the forces.

She then re-trained as a shorthand typist and was employed by Joy Sullivan's at Cappielow and in several other jobs of a similar nature.

Sheilah left Greenock for Weymouth, Dorset, with her youngest son David in 1975, and stayed with her brother Billy who lived and worked there at that time.

She re-married and had another son Alan but this marriage also ended in divorce.

After moving to Weymouth, Sheilah lived in student accommodation in Ruskin College, Oxford, for a year - coming home at weekends - where she gained 'A' level qualifications.

She also completed various courses in horticulture, counselling, writing and photography. Other activities have included being a voluntary worker for Bliss (Baby Life Support Systems) and a voluntary tour guide at the famous writer Thomas Hardy's home in Dorchester.

Sheilah would love to hear from former friends and colleagues.
