RAITH boss Gary Locke claims his team were ‘faultless’ in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Morton at Cappielow — and says lady luck didn’t shine on his attackers.
Rovers had opportunities to equalise after Ross Forbes’ sensational free-kick had given Ton the lead on 18 minutes.
But Declan McManus, Liam Smith and Iain Davidson spurned a host of chances and Locke was left frustrated that his side couldn’t find the net with any of them.
He said: “It was a frustrating game for us, second half especially. I thought we were totally dominant.
“I couldn’t fault the players because they gave everything they possibly could, we just didn’t get that bit of luck in front of goal.
“We were a wee bit off it in front of goal.
“We put enough bodies and crosses into the box and we’ve missed a few chances on the day.
“But it was frustrating because it was just a bit of quality that has won the game and we felt for long spells during the game that we were the better team.
“The boys gave it everything, they’ve put another great effort in it and unfortunately we haven’t got our reward.
“On another day, we get the luck, and we get something out of the game.”
