MORTON lost ground in the Ladbrokes Championship play-off race with a miserable 4-1 defeat at Cappielow in the Renfrewshire derby.
Goals from Stelios Demetriou, Stephen Mallan, John Sutton and Gary Mackenzie saw off the Ton in style, with Andy Murdoch’s equaliser in the first half turning out to be a consolation for the Greenock side.
