MORTON’S 2016-17 season came to an end on Friday night after an energy-sapping second half against Dundee United culminated in a 3-0 loss to the Tangerines at Tannadice.
Simon Murray, Wato Kuate and Blair Spittal all netted in the second half of proceedings to confirm United’s place in the next round and consign Ton to another year in the Ladbrokes Championship, despite their valiant efforts throughout the season.
