GOUROCK footballer Greg Taylor is on cloud nine after scoring the winning goal for Scotland against Brazil.

The 19-year-old Kilmarnock full back’s left-footed drive on 36 minutes was enough for the national under-20s side to record a famous victory over the Brazilians.

Club mate and fellow Gourock footballer Adam Frizzell, 19, also played in the game on Saturday as Scotland won their second match of the prestigious Toulon Tournament in the south of France.

Taylor said: “What a feeling to score the winner against Brazil.

“Great performance from all the boys.”

After a narrow 3-2 defeat to the Czech Republic in their opening group game on Wednesday, the victory over Brazil has boosted Scotland’s chances of qualifying for the next stage of the competition.

Taylor, Frizzell and co are back in action tomorrow night against Indonesia in the final group game.

Ex-Morton loanee Aidan Nesbitt is also in the U20 squad.
